Sonoma, CA | The Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West Series took to the track at Sonoma Raceway one final time for Race 2 of 2 for the weekend. Race 2 at Sonoma saw perfect track conditions for all three Porsche classes of GT3 Cup 992, GT3 Cup 991, and Cayman to go racing. The 35 minute sprint race was filled with non-stop action and only a single full course yellow. Once again, Laura Ely and Paul Nemschoff were fighting back and forth all race for the top position in the GT3 Cup 991 class. Ultimately Ely was able to pull away and sweep the weekend for the GT3 Cup 991 class in addition to also winning the Apex award for Race 2. Chris Bellomo also put on another dominant performance in the GT3 Cup 992 class to secure back-to-back wins this weekend. Lastly, Michael Gaulke won the Cayman class yet again to move to a perfect 4 of 4 on race wins this season.

Sonoma, CA | The track was wet, but the sun was shining as the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West took to the track for qualifications. Drivers battled the wet track conditions for a 35 qualification session that came down to the wire. Kyle Washington was able to come away winning the pole for the GT3 Cup 992 class. Laura Ely on the last lap of the session was able to capture pole position for the GT3 Cup 991 class. Neither of the two Cayman entities took to the track this morning. Race 1 will be live streamed through Race Control at 1:10 pm PST.

Sonoma, CA | Round 2 of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West visits Sonoma Raceway this weekend. Sonoma features 2.52 miles of evaluation changing racing over 12 turns. This weekend showcases 11 entries representing 5 different USA West teams. Both Races from Sonoma will be livestream on the Porsche Sprint Race Control. Practice 1 and 2 were held today under perfect conditions with dominant performances from Chris Bellomo from the GT3 Cup 992 class, Paul Nemschoff in the GT3 Cup 991 class, and Cayman class point leader Michael Gaulke.
Laguna Seca, CA | The inaugural event of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West took place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this past weekend. Round 1 of the 2022 Championship saw 19 entries representing 8 teams attacking to the 2.238 mile, 11 turn circuit under ideal and sunny weather conditions for two races. The weekend featured Kelly Mossβs Kay Van Berlo winning pole position in the 992 class in addition to coming away victorious in both races. In the Cayman class, a similar story unfolded with Micheal Gaulke winning pole and earning back-to-back wins in both races to also leave the weekend with a strong lead in the Championship standings for the Flying Lizards squad. Lastly, in the 991 class, Paul Nemschoff of Flying Lizards was first to cross the stripe in Race 1, while Sam Parnagian claimed the Race 2 victory for his BR Racing team.

The second race of this opening round saw a full green flag 35 minute race. Race 2 saw Van Berlo sweeping the weekend with his second victory in the GT3 Cup 992 class in addition to Micheal Gaulke winning back-to-back races in the Cayman class. For the GT3 Cup 991 class we saw the new face of Parnagian on top of the podium winning Race 2.

Laguna Seca, CA | The Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West kicked off its inaugural season with a 40 minute sprint with the three classes of GT3 Cup 992, GT3 Cup 991, and Cayman sharing the track together. The race was highlighted by the GT3 Cup 992 victory by Van Berlo, GT3 Cup 991 by Nemschoff, and the Cayman victory of Galke. It is important to note the GT3 Cup 991 performance of King who spun out in both practices and qualifying, but was able to turn things around to end up on the podium.

Sebring, FL| The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America kicked off the 2022 season this past weekend at Sebring with a growing number of 62 entries taking to the track. The weekend saw the introduction of the Evolve Hospitality Tent to the series as well as the introduction of livestream and time services to the porschesprint.com website. Round 1 of racing saw a competitive Cayman, GT3 Cup 992, and GT3 Cup 991 classes take to the track for two races each. Strong performances from both Grant Talkie (GT3 Cup 992) and Adian Kenny (Cayman) were on display as they both captured back-to-back race wins. Round 1 race results can be viewed below.
