Austin, TX | The 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West by Yokohama season finale will take place this weekend at the famed Circuit of the Americas. 6 champions will be crowned this weekend with 3 coming from each series. Some notable championship battles to keep a eye out for this championship weekend include – North America 992: Sebastian Carazo (+53) over David Williams, North America 991: Jimmy Llibre (+43) over Michael Levitas, North America Cayman: Aiden Kenny (+31) over Mark Smith, USA West 991: Laura Ely (+1) over Paul Nemschoff, USA West Cayman: Micheal Gaulke (+21) over Paul Bonderson. There are also some tight battles in the team championship battles including – North America 992 Team: Kelly Moss (+57) over TPC, North America 991 Team: MDK (+7) over TPC, North America Cayman Team: W2W (+29) over RS1, USA West 991 Team: Black Sheep (+5) over Flying Lizard. Both the Cayman and GT3 Cup classes each had three practice sessions through the course of the day. Tomorrow will see the Caymans qualify at 9:55 am CST with the GT3 Cup following at 11:25 am CST. Cayman Race 1 will be at 2:30 pm and GT3 Cup Race 1 will be at 4:20 pm CST. On Sunday Cayman Race 2 will be at 10:20 am and GT3 Cup Race 2 will be at 12:20 pm CST. All races will be live streamed via race control and on the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama YouTube page.
